Lincoln is a Cathedral City,
with a history covering two Millennia.

Its Cathedral (started in 1072) and Castle, both of which were Commissioned by William the Conqueror proudly overlook the city.

The Roman and Medieval periods of this ancient city are soon detected in its architecture.
Newport Arch being one Roman remain which is still in use today.

Places to visit include,
The Guildhall, The Usher Gallery and The Museum of Lincolnshire Life .

And not to be missed is a walk up Steep Hill (good luck).
