Grantham - is a market town in the county of Lincolnshire.
Located - approximately 110 miles from London, 24 miles from Lincoln, 21 miles from Stamford and 14 miles from Sleaford.

History credits Grantham as being the place where Cromwell first had success against the Royalists.

But for most of us it is better known for its famous residents such as Sir Isaac Newton (1643-1727) born at Woolsthorpe where he attended school. The greatest English mathematician and physicist of his generation, he laid the foundation for differential and integral calculus and his work on optics and gravitation made him one of the greatest scientists the world has ever known.

In more recent times we have seen Britain's first woman Prime Minister. Baroness Margaret Thatcher - born Margaret Hilda Roberts on October 13th 1925 above her fathers grocery shop at 1 North Parade.

Exhibits featuring Isaac Newton, Margaret Thatcher and The Dambusters can be seen at the Grantham Museum, St Peters Hill.
Which is open Monday to Saturday 10am-5pm.
