Brigsley is a small rural village in North East Lincolnshire.

Which can be found on the north-eastern edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds,
to the east of the A18 between Barnoldby-le-Beck and Ludborough.

The local church is St. Helen's.

In the very heart of this picturesque and charming village can be found
Brigsley Home Made Ice Cream , est in 1936.
Who have been making ice-cream from the same original closely guarded recipe for over seventy years.

In 1936 a Mrs Leary decided to make and sell tea and sandwiches to the many walkers who stopped to take rest by the village stream.
Being an entrepreneur she then decided to make ice cream from a recipe handed down from her mother.
This new venture was an instant success with the visitors.

Building on this success she decided to open a small shop which sold ice-cream and general goods, this was to continue until the mid 1960s, when the decision was made to stop selling food and concentrate on selling ice cream only.

In 2003 the business was acquired by Mr J. Brackenbury and his family,
who updated - refurbished the shop.
The newly refurbished shop was opened by Mr Peter Leary the son of Mrs. Leary.
