Bloxholm is a small village in Lincolnshire.

Which can be found approximately five miles to the north of Sleaford
between Digby and Leasingham.

The name of Bloxholm indicates that this may have been, or once was a Saxon village. But it as also been proven with archaeological research, numerous finds of flint tools and other artefacts that prehistoric man once occupied the area.

In 1351 the village, which we can presume would have been mainly timber framed houses was completely destroyed by fire, it possibly never recovered from this fire in size and population.

It is also thought that when the parkland was laid out, that several stone or brick built houses north of the church were demolished.

Bloxholm Hall was originally built during the 17th century by Cyprian Thornton. In 1825 the Manners family extensively and lavishly enlarged the hall, but today only the kitchen wing, stable block and some remnants of the original once magnificent gardens are all that can be seen, as the rest of the hall was demolished during the early 1900s.
