Some recently asked book related questions, all of which have been answered
in more detail by e-mail or telephone.
"I have a large quantity of books, Which I would like to dispose of, please can you tell
me what they may be worth".
A lot depends on the quality, subject matter and condition. I would need to view the items in question.
"I have been collecting Edgar Rice Burroughs for a few years, but would now like to sell".
One of my favourite authors, we are always interested in hardback copies with or without dust wrapper.
Edgar Rice Burroughs (1875-1950) writer of romantic, fantasy and adventure novels.
Some of his most famous science fiction novels are set on Mars and Venus
and include titles such as,
John Carter of Mars, Synthetic Men of Mars, Swords of Mars, Pirates of Venus,
Lost on Venus, Carson of Venus and The Wizard of Venus, ...etc.
But is known world-wide for Tarzan who I think appeared in twenty-one novels,
starting with Tarzan of the Apes (1914 - first hardcover edition) to
Tarzan and the Madman (1964). Tarzan has always been familiar to
most of us through film, comics, television
and even the radio.
I shall be adding a separate page about Edgar Rice Burroughs to this website at a later date.
