Althorpe is a small village in North Lincolnshire.
Situated on the west bank of the River Trent
on the A18 Doncaster to Scunthorpe road
where the A18 crosses the river via the Keadby road and rail bridge.
This very impressive King George V Swing Bridge ( Keadby Bridge)
crosses the Trent near Althorpe and connects the Isle of Axholme to Scunthorpe
and the rest of North Lincolnshire.
